My personal style is pretty laid back but I also have penchant for vintage glamour when I do get dressed up. I love the classics like stripes, tailored shirts, 501’s, chic flats, 70s YSL. I find that I'll gravitate toward really clean lines, like pieces by Phillip Lim and COS. They are great for when I need to feel pulled together at work or meetings. But when I’m home with my family I really just want to be comfortable. I pretty much live in Levi’s and Madewell jeans, cotton t-shirts, blouses by Isabel Marant and of course my Converse high tops.

On the weekends I'm usually in print dresses by Doen. They are just so easy to throw on. They speak to my NorCal-girl heart. I love the relaxed femininity of everything they do. Perfect for when chasing my kids around the park or the farmers market, though truth be told if I never had to get out of my Lunya pajama romper, I wouldn't.

I just found the most insanely beautiful hummingbird earrings by a designer from London named Bill Skinner. They are so whimsical and make me so happy!

My favorite heels are my red and black Gucci snakes. As you can see I am always bringing in the natural world somehow, even in my clothing.

One of my favorite stores is Bird Brooklyn (Multiple Locations). I go there pretty much every time I’m in NY.  They carry some of my favorite designers like Rachel Comey, Isabel Marant, Ulla Johnson and APC.

There's a great consignment store just down the street from my house called Ampersand (658 N. Larchmont Blvd. Los Angeles; +1 323 466 3300). I buy and sell clothes there often. I’ve found so many pieces I love there including a Dries Von Noten print dress I will never part with.

I’m a HUGE fan of Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the Rodarte sisters. I feel lucky to have gotten to know them over the last few years, everything they do makes my heart sing. So far I only own a sweatshirt but one day I dream of wearing one of their creations to something important. They are true artists and their sensibility speaks to me on every level.

I love online shopping on Bona Drag, their site is so beautifully curated.

I have a little bit of an oxford obsession. My favorite pair are Chanel, they have an ankle strap and are a little different than the others, at least that’s what I tell myself when I’m about to buy a another pair. I found the best woven leather pair recently at & Other Stories, one of my favorite spots for on-trend purchases. I’ve also been stalking a pair from The Office of Angela Scott. She makes the most fantastic oxfords OMG!

Right now the thing I’m coveting most is a dress by The Vampires Wife. I’m totally enamoured with all her creations.

Although I typically wear more practical clothes in my daily life, my alter ego is a total eccentric and loves the fantasy element of fashion. My fictional self wants to channel wild creatures like Isabella Blow or Anna Piaggi and has an imaginary closet full of surrealist fashion like Comme Des Garçons, Alexander McQueen, Margiela and Schiaparelli. I guess that speaks to the duality of my personality; I don’t live in grey areas in general. I appreciate anyone with a strong point of view.

I just had to throw away my second pair of Chloe flats because I literally wore them into the ground. I stand all day at work so I am pretty hard on shoes.
