Fashion is my thing and each season I just choose a few statement pieces (I call them polisher pieces) which elevate my very casual denim and knits. My “go to” look is loose faded denim (Mother), dressy silk print girly blouse (Chloe) and well tailored blazer (Stella McCartney).

Some other fashion musts:

I LOVE the website Forty Five Ten. Brian Bolke chooses such original pieces from the best brands and it's not overwhelming or diluted with filler pieces.
And a few other of my current favorites:
Maison Mayle
Sonia Rykiel

Another one of my favorite fashion designers is Duro Olowu — for his designs and his personality! I met him in London in 2000 and have collected his dresses ever since. Once on a very gray day in Paris, I ran into him by chance on the street while wearing one of his colorful dresses. We were so happy we forgot to take a picture. He mixes fabric remnants brilliantly and no two dresses are exactly alike. I love colorful silk art-y pieces you can wear any season and any time of day or night

I don’t really shop online for new clothing or shoes much, I either shop “live” or shop my closet, but I love to hunt online for things like vintage dresses. Some of my favorite haunt

ASOS Marketplace

Shrimpton Couture

Spanish Moss

For unique gifts I turn to Patch NYC — especially the “etcetera” section. I love these charming, handcrafted gifts. They have so much personality.

For fragrance shopping I love Lucky Scent. They champion the small batch indie bands (my favorite is A Lab on Fire) and offer samples so you can try them out. They also have a fragrance fitting option to insure that the scent you're getting matches your personality.
